Hotels Abano Terme

Abano Terme is a famous tourist resort that rises on the feet of the Euganean hills, right in the heart of the venitian plain, between the Adige and the Brenta rivers, and it accommodates one of the most renommed spa of Europe. The theraupetic property of waters and mud of this zone were known already in roman age and for this reason in the outskirtses a small city with palaces, villas, theatre and naturally the terme roses. Nowaday the reputation of Abano is due to the great quality of its hotels and to the services offered for the cure of the body.

Although the great number of visitors Abano Terme has maintained the aspect and the tranquillity of the past and life in the Euganean hills seems to pass like if the time it had been stopped. Beyond to the renowned thermal cures the village offers also artistic and cultural dull of interest. The main road is the viale delle Terme on which there are many hotels, such as the Grand Hotel dell'Orologio, of the XIX century. The historical center offers the Dome of San Lorenzo with its bell tower constructed in two different ages: the base was built in the '900 while the advanced part in the 1200.
In the tourist zone, instead, there is the Montirone art gallery, in which the Collection Bassi can be observed, with works of venetian artists.

Out of the city, in the country, there are many villas: on the road that links Abano Terme with Feriole we find the Cittadella Vigodarzere villa where Ugo Foscolo lived; the Malipiero villa, constructed in the XVI century on the style of Palladium; Bassi Rathgeb villa, that accommodates valuables works of art.
In Monteortone the sanctuary of the Vergine della Salute rises, with its frescoes of the XV century, and next to the church there is the ancient monastero of agostiniani friars. In a short time moreover the splendid cities of Padova, Venice and Verona can be reached.
The Euganei hills park surround Abano Terme and it offers to the tourists the possibility to make long excursions on foot or by bicycle dipped in the green and the tranquillity of these places.
