San Gimignano, Italy is named the "city of the beautiful Middle Ages towers". Of that once 72 towers from the 13th C. monuments of power, the Haders and the Grossmann craze, remained in 16th C. still 25.
Nowday of it still stood, fell partially for the German artilleryman to the victim, that captured 1944 the city occupied by allied one back. It remained nevertheless still 15 of these imposanten towers, of one more highly than the other one.
San Gimignano, Italy has retained its medieval townscape until today, and it was explained not in vain of the UNESCO as the world cultural heritage.
Annually millions of tourists flow into this small small town, which has only 7000 inhabitants. An attendance is worthwhile itself nevertheless, because one finds beautiful churches, palaces, museums and well-decorated places on closest area.
