Alleghe is a small village north of Belluno set in a very evocative position, tightened between the imposing Civetta mount and the northeastern edge of the lake of the same name, that was created in 1771 after a huge rock avalanche fallen from the Piz mount. Nowaday the city is one of the most attended tourist resort in the Dolomites, thanks to the beauty of its mountains and to the lake, that allow to practice many sports.

In winter on its frozen surface we can skate, while the ski lovers can easily reach the tracks of the Civetta skiing area, that links the localities of Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, Palafavera and the Valzoldana, for a total of 28 lift systems and 80 km of alpine and cross-country tracks.

In the summery season the village attracts above all the mountain climbers because the face of the Civetta mount is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious of the Alps. Moreover the surrounding territory offers infinite possibilities of excursions, both on foot that in mountain-bike.
Very evocative is the path that goes around to the western edge of the lake and that allows to admire the village of Alleghe and the imposing group of the Civetta mount.
For who love calm and tranquillity the lake shores, on which some hotels rise, are an ideal place for relax surrounded by a magnificent landscape.
