Misano Adriatico is a lively seaside resort that overlooks the Adriatic Sea, on the border between Emilia Romagna and Marche region. The village is spread over a vast area of rolling hills on which flow the Conca river. The city is divided into two parts. The oldest town is located in the fraction of Monte set on a very panoramic hill and surrounded by green woods. The new part lies along three kilometres of sandy beach and is characterized by modern lidos, elegant hotels, clubs and typical restaurants.

Misano Adriatico was founded by the Romans in the third century b.C, as witnessed various artefacts found in this area. From 1295 it was under the rule of the Malatesta family that erected a castle, of which remain only the arch and part of the tower. From the sixteenth century the area came under the control of the Papal States until the unification of Italy. After the Second World War there was the development of the coastal zone that led to the birth of the modern resort, which nowaday is one of the most famous of Riviera Romagnola.

Misano Adriatico is the ideal place for those who want to combine sport and relaxation with fun and culture. The city is equipped with modern facilities for all types of sports and in the night offer very popular clubs. For those who love nature, however, the beautiful hilly area located behind the town is ideal for a day of relaxation. Also worth visiting the hamlet of Monte Misano with the church of San Biagio, which contains some works of art of the seventeenth century. Misano Adriatico is also in an excellent position to reach important artistic cities such as Urbino, San Marino and Assisi.
