Vignanotica is a renowned seaside resort in the province of Foggia, which faces the Adriatic coast of Puglia region. The locality is located in the bay homonym, halfway between the popular towns of Vieste and Mattinata. This area is part of Gargano National Park, a large protected area characterized by a still unspoiled nature. This stretch of coast is renowned not only for the beauty of its waters but also for the presence of "falesie", spectacular cliffs of white rock overhanging to the sea.

The bay of Vignanotica boasts a beautiful beach of fine gravel, surrounded by a lush pine forest that reaches just a few steps from the sea. The beach is protected on either side by imposing cliffs, whose white color contrasts strongly with intense blue of the sea. The coast of the Gargano is characterized by the presence of beautiful sea caves, dug from the sea over the centuries. Often the caves are accessible only by sea, but in the ports of coastal towns you can rent small boats or rubber dinghies for those wishing to explore the many hidden beauties of this area.

The locality of Vignanotica can be reached along the coast road leading from Mattinata to Vieste. This path skirts for a long time the sea and is strongly recommended for the extraordinary panoramas. All of a sudden there is a deviation and down to a narrow path surrounded by Mediterranean scrub you reach the beach. The show is truly unique, with the cliffs that frame the beach. This place is also known by the name of Bay of Seagulls, because in the evening you can see the passage of these birds that reach their nests in the nearby Bay of Zagare.
