Sardinia is a region of ancient traditions. There are numerous bathing localities and some have a world-wide reputation. An example is the Costa Smeralda, but also Alghero, San Teodoro, Stintino, Palau, thanks to the purity of their crystal sea waters and the beauty of the landscapes which attract every year a great number of holiday makers.
To the unquestionable natural resources also the numerous quite pre-historical testimonies must be added, of which Sardinia is very rich: the strongest sign is that one of the mysterious 'nuragica' culture, with its famous 'megaliti' monuments, but there are also Fenis traces in Nora, Romans in Cagliari, Byzants and Spaniards.
The region hits then for its scents, customs and traditions which can only increase the fascination of this magnificent island.
